Our precious little Lilley turned a year old! who knew time would go so fast! We feel so blessed to have her in our family, Zoey and Harley smother her with love and attention today just like they did a year ago but now the only difference is she growls at them:) But, our life has been hectic with her lately we have spent a great deal of time at the doctors office with her and her little tummy having major issues the last two months! ( which have felt like 4 months ) Today we went to a Pediatric specialist who thinks she has Celiac disease (in basic terms it means absolutely nothing with gluten in it FOREVER!)On some blood tests they did last week they showed signs of Celiac disease, So next week off to Primary Children's we go for more tests and a biopsy(this is where I need to be tough.)I hate to see my children hurting and know the Lord will bless her tiny 15 LB. body. I do feel immensly grateful that it is only life altering and not life threatening but I am also extremely overwhelmed! I am so thankful for good family and friends (my mom especially) who help with my other 2 kids to keep their lives as normal as possible through all of this and those who are praying for her! Mark is wonderful support and reminds me that crying won't fix our problem:)but he truly does make my life much easier. Things like this makes us put things into perspective on what mattters most and my family most definetely does:) So thank you to all who have given us support and I know she is going to be okay, Really we are blessed and I thank our Heavenly Father it is not something much worse:)
Isn't it such a blessing though to know that it can be diagnosed? I have a good friend with a little one with Celiac's. If it turns out that's what she has I know my friend would be more than happy to give you some ideas for feeding her... it's a total lifestyle change but totally doable. Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope she's okay. Let us know exactly when you are coming and such. Maybe we will get to see you guys :). However we are going out of town next week to Houston for a few days... so maybe we won't :(.
